Eileen Steinbach, the visual artist behind the name SG Posters, lies her focus on art to both celebrate and promote films. This manifests as clever alternative artworks and official key art for indie pieces through to huge studio productions from Marvel and Star Wars. Before getting into the field of entertainment design she worked in different advertising agencies in her hometown of Hannover, Germany, where her main focus was branding and editorial design.
Her work can be described as conceptual minimalism, with strong and evocative ideas being the main focus of her art. Steinbach works both illustrative and image-based, depending on what a film needs to create striking imagery that gets to the core of the story. Most importantly though, her first game was Sonic on the Game Gear. With this piece she has figuratively and visually come full circle.
