Liza Shumskaya: ‘Stranger Things’ is a limitless source of inspiration: music, visuals, incredible story, characters, and talented actors bringing them to 'life'. That's why I love this show so much since the very first episode aired.
It speaks to people of different ages. I love the perfectly captured '80s atmosphere and the countless cultural references of that time. My main source of inspiration for this piece was the second season and the episode where Eleven and Mike finally communicate with each other for the first time since El disappeared. I wanted to depict the powerful connection between two main characters and the moment of hope for those two. With this artwork, I experimented with the style inspired by the comic book art and for the color, I used the main retrowave palette of the show.
We hate these too. Especially when they cover up awesome art. But subscribing to our newsletter gives you the best chance to grab prints that will be gone in a flash. Plus some cheeky codes and subscriber exclusives...
