Matt Ferguson’s ‘The Transformers-The Movie’ Key Art Poster - Online Release!
Since revealing Matt’s artwork, we’ve been inundated with interest and after its big debut at Europe’s biggest Transformers Convention last weekend, we can offer remaining copies of this official 35th Anniversary print online!
This is a co-release with our friends at Vice Press, available both through their site and our homepage at 6pm UK / 1pm EST on Tuesday August 16th.
This 35th anniversary artwork has been reworked by Matt for release in two editions at 24" x 36"; A regular version that takes the original key art and makes it wall-ready with an iconic look that evokes eighties textures and a multitude of the movie's characters plus the full billing block. Take a look at those names! Has there ever been such an eclectic and legendary ensemble in animated film-making? Only 200 of these posters will be available, worldwide.
The Variant FOIL edition of just 150 prints takes inspiration from the original UK poster for the film with a blue border and clever Mirri foil elements that give reflectivity to robot metal, eyes, rays of light and the movie title. It even has a tiny ‘U’ BBFC rating graphic. The tile, along with the tagline and matrix of leadership, features UV Spot Gloss for 'EXTRA SHINY'.
The prints received incredible feedback at the convention. They really are something to behold.
