Doaly and Andy Fairhurst bring the rings to Sonic's 30th Anniversary party
Rolling into the gallery this week is everyone's favourite blue hedgehog and video game legend, Sonic! Running slightly behind him are poster artists Doaly and Andy Fairhurst with their Sonic 30th anniversary posters created in collaboration with SEGA. Both artworks feature the iconic location of Green Hill Zone, where so many of us spent our childhoods!
Doaly’s 'Green Hill Zone '91' is inspired by the classic vintage motor racing posters of the 50s and 60s. Andy’s features 30 gold rings and is a love letter to Sonic and the countless hours we spent competing against our families and friends getting that highest score.
We are so excited to have Poster Posse artists Andy and Doaly at the gallery, and we still have some fantastic posters by very talented artists yet to come.
As it's Sonics 30th anniversary, we felt these prints deserved something super special, so both are printed on foil paper, making the rings reflective. They are available in Europe, UK, and USA, limited to just 130 each, measuring 24 x 18 inches, and are £49.99 each. The golden rings in sonic games are almost as iconic as the hedgehog himself, and these posters truly capture the heart and spirit of the classic adventures we have all been on with Sonic.
The release for both is at 6pm British Summer Time, 1PM (EST) on Thursday Oct 14th, available from our homepage.
